Roger is currently on the VTPGA Board of Directors and the NEPGA Tournament Committee.  His playing accomplishments include the 2003 VTPGA Stroke Play Championship as well as numerous Pro Am victories.  In 2011, he qualified to represent New England in the 45th PGA Professional National Championship being played at Bayonet Black Horse in Seaside CA.  He also served as Co-chairman of the NEPGA Assistants Association from 1999 - 2001. His other professional accomplishments include being named the NEPGA Merchandiser of the year in 2010, VTPGA Rookie of the year in 2002, and the NEPGA Assistant of the year in 2001.

About the Course

Country Club of Barre was built in 1924 and 9 holes were added in 1967.  The semi-private course has hosted many VGA and NEGA events through its storied history.  A four star rating by golf digest and a "Hidden Gems" label by Vermont Golf Magazine bears proof of a great golfing experience. Lush fairways, fast greens and immaculate maintenance by course Superintendent Bill Evans await the serious golfer. Constantly striving to improve, the club has redone every bunker on the golf course and continually work on cleaning up the wooded areas to make them more playable.  The club has a great long term plan to make sure that the golf course remains one of the best in the state.  Come visit and enjoy the spectacular views of central Vermont that await your next round.
