About the Course
| Rutland Country Club dates back to 1901
when the first 9 holes were designed by George Low on what was then the Baxter Farm.
Stiles and VanKleek redesigned the original 9 holes and added another 9 holes in
1928. Although not a long course, Rutland is tough and tight. The greens are
on the small side - they are fast and tricky and can be very tough to putt. This
esteemed venue is the favorite course of quite a few good Central Vermont golfers.
It is a course which players look forward to playing again and again. The course
record is 62 and held by Bobby Locke. |
