  About the Course

This Jack Nicklaus design treats Vermont National almost as if it were two courses. The front nine of the 7,035-yard, par-72 championship course is more gentle and rolling, with the holes winding through green meadows and quiet valleys. The ambiance, says Jack Nicklaus II, is reminiscent of "an English or Scottish links kind of feeling."

The back nine, on the other hand, offers a more rugged atmosphere, with dramatic rock outcroppings and ledges creating a craggy backdrop to the stands of sugar maples, butternut and ash trees. The view of Camel's Hump from the 10th hole is one you'll tell your friends about; and the 18th tee, 30 feet up on a ledge, is a vantage point that affords a sweeping view of the Adirondacks looming majestically to the southwest.
