Meet the Pro
| Bill Ross, Jr. has been the Head
Professional at Lake Morey for the past 20 years. Prior to coming to Lake Morey, he
was the Head Professional at the Country Club of Barre. He earned his Bachelor of
Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Vermont. He was
elected to membership in the PGA in May of 1982. Bill earned the prestigious Vermont
Professional of the Year honor in 1987. When he's not at the golf course Bill
coaches the Orford Girl's Varsity Basketball team. He is also a member of the
Orford/Fairlee Lion's Club. |

Vermont Open

As usual the Vermont
Open continues to attract Professionals from the Northeast, East Coast and Midwest.
Offering one of the highest purses and lowest entry fees for the state open tournaments,
the Vermont Open has proven to be a most popular event. Thanks to the continuous
support from players and sponsors, we look forward to hosting it in the many years to
come.
Lake Morey has hosted the
Open for over 50 years, making its debut in 1955. Jay Dolan and George Kinsman
each won the event three times with present PGA Senior Tour star Dana Quigley winning it
twice.
